Who We Are
Darjeeling Mary Ward Social Centre is a non-profit NGO, founded in 2006 and registered in 2009, promoting sustainable development. It is the social development wing of the Loreto Sisters, working for social justice in tea plantation communities. The organisation focuses on marginalized and vulnerable groups, especially women, children, and families in need. It collaborates with government departments and NGOs to strengthen programme reach and service delivery. Key interventions include awareness programmes, counselling, survivor support, and child rights and gender sensitization initiatives. Darjeeling Mary Ward Social Centre empowers communities to claim their rights and drive inclusive, sustainable change.
DMWSC is a non-profit organization to fosters woman and child-friendly communities and develops a pragmatic and sustainable approach to all development initiatives.
