Safe Migration
A prevention and protection initiative aimed at counteracting human trafficking and related social issues by promoting safe migration awareness, proper documentation, informed decision-making, and community vigilance, while linking vulnerable individuals with support systems.
Collective Voice
A community empowerment programme that organizes women, youth, and girls into groups for leadership building, education support, and collective action to address social issues such as child marriage, school dropout, and vulnerability.
Menstrual Hygiene Management
A community health initiative that promotes menstrual awareness, hygienic practices, and access to safe, affordable absorbents through education sessions, community engagement, and local production support.
Ethical Enterprise Initiative For Youth and Women
A livelihood development programme that provides vocational training, entrepreneurship guidance, and skill-building opportunities (such as tailoring and jute products) to help youth and women develop sustainable income sources.
Nurturing Young Minds
Provides academic support to children from disadvantaged families through after-school tutoring, helping improve learning, school performance, confidence, and study habits while encouraging continued education and reducing the risk of school dropout.
Legal Services Clinic
It offers free of cost legal and paralegal assistance to individuals who cannot afford private legal representatives. It specifically focuses on family law such as domestic violence, immigration law, housing law, or consumer rights. It believes in binding rather than breaking the family.
Utthaan
Provides legal assistance that can help people to break economic and other disabilities by ensuring justice to all. It includes rescue and restoration of trafficked victims, dispute resolution, networking with Government agencies and NGOs. It promotes and protects the human rights of vulnerable and marginalized communities-particularly women, children, and tea plantation workers-by enhancing awareness, strengthening community- based protection mechanisms, and improving access to justice and essential services, thereby fostering safe, inclusive, and violence-free communities.
Streams of Hope: Water for Life in the Mountains of Lolay
This project aims to improve access to safe drinking water in selected areas of Lolaygaon through a sustainable rainwater harvesting system. It will address seasonal shortages and reduce dependence on distant or unsafe sources. The initiative will ensure year-round availability of clean water, improving hygiene, health, and living conditions. It will also reduce the burden of water collection, especially for women and children. Community training and shared ownership will support proper maintenance and long-term sustainability.
Tuition Learning Centre
An educational support programme that offers remedial classes, homework assistance, and a safe learning space for children from disadvantaged communities to strengthen academic performance and reduce school dropout.
DMWSC is a non-profit organization to fosters woman and child-friendly communities and develops a pragmatic and sustainable approach to all development initiatives.
