Project: Collective Voice

Village Level Child Protection Committee meeting was organized on 17/2/2022 at Singhiajhora for the committee formation. The Committee was formed in order to safeguard vulnerable children, monitor and respond to the issue related to child protection in the tea gardens. The committee is a governmental initiative for the care and protection of children.  The committee was formed by the participation of community members, children, village heads, and elected representatives.

The meeting started with an understanding of the VLCPC (Village Level Child Protection Policy). The project coordinator explained that the committee about VLCPC.  Members present in the meeting agreed to the committee formation and were happy to be a part of it. The club secretary and a few other members shared a few cases of child marriage and unsafe migration in the tea garden.
